Patient FAQs

Where is the office?
Dockside Dental is located across from Trent Cadillac in James City at 1702 US HWY 70E, New Bern, NC.

How do I get started?
Dr. Schein believes new patients deserve the proper amount of time. Unfortunately, these appointments can be booked well in advance. Please call for an appointment and/or send a message via the form to the right. On the day of your appointment, we ask that you have the linked New Patient form be completed, so that we have the proper amount of time to focus on you and your oral health while in the office.

What should I expect at my first appointment?
We will take a full set of x-rays, chart existing conditions and periodontal health. Armed with this vital information, complete health history and an intraoral exam, Dr. Schein will assess your oral health. Once he understands the conditions that are present, he will provide a detailed treatment plan on how to return you back to perfect health.

Am I only given one option for treatment?
No, Dr. Schein believes in educating each patient on their oral health and the options they have for proper treatment. In many cases, there are multiple ways of treating a condition and these options are always provided to you.

Will I receive an estimation of cost for my treatment plan?
Absolutely. Dr. Schein understands that economics have to be considered when treatment planning and all options including the potential investment required for each treatment opportunity is necessary for a proper decision.

Do you have payment plans?
Yes. We offer multiple financing plans.
